Tuan M. Hoang, DDS, MD

Dr. Tuan Hoang grew up in Southern California. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of California, Santa Barbara where he received a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, and the  University of Southern California for dental school. After obtaining his doctoral of dental surgery degree, he attended the Louisiana State University, New Orleans Health Sciences Center for medical school as well as for extensive training in general surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Hoang is board certified and has hospital privileges at Lakewood Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Hoang’s surgical interests include dento-alveolar surgery, placement of dental implants, management of facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and facial aesthetic surgery. Dr. Hoang is a member of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. In his free time, Dr. Hoang enjoys reading, traveling, and learning about different cultures.


Dr. Richard Chong, DDS

Dr. Richard Chong grew up in Southern California, graduating from Buena Park Jr. High then Sunny Hills High School. After graduating from high school, he attended University of California, Riverside where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Before completing his training at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and obtaining his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Chong also worked as a dental assistant to gain valuable clinical experience. At Loma Linda University, Dr. Chong ranked within the top third of his class academically and graduated with honors in Esthetic Dentistry from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry for clinical excellence. Dr. Chong was also actively involved in leadership throughout his education, holding positions such as VP Treasurer of his cohort and Social Co-chairman for the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) for Loma Linda University chapter. For his research in Radiographic Assessment of Alveolar Bone Levels in Elderly Individuals with Metabolic Syndrome which was published in the Journal of Dental Research 100 Special Issue, 2021, Dr. Chong received Loma Linda University Student Research Award in 2021 and 2nd place award in California Dental Association’s 2021 The Dennis Shinbone DDS Table Clinics Competition.

Dr. Chong has been volunteering his time at many community service organizations such as Smile unto Him Free Dental Clinic in Riverside, Care Harbor in Los Angeles, Pathway to Health in Lost Angeles, and ECHO in Los Angeles in order to serve the community.

Dr. Chong is fluent in English and Korean, and enjoys hiking, traveling, and socializing with his friends and family in his free time.
